everything you need to go from nothing to earning rot rewards. no prior crypto experience required.
you need ETH on Ethereum mainnet. buy from an exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance) and withdraw to your wallet address. keep enough for gas — 0.01 ETH is plenty for a few transactions.
click “connect wallet” in the top-right corner of this site. select your wallet. make sure you're on Ethereum mainnet — the site will prompt you to switch if you're not.
every $EGG in every wallet decays at 2% per day. this is continuous, per-block. if you hold 1,000 $EGG and do nothing:
the rotted $EGG doesn't burn. it flows to the nest — the canonical liquidity pool — and gets paid out to LPs.
$EGG inside an LP position (a “nest”) does not rot. instead, your nest earns the rot from every wallet that isn't nesting. the longer everyone else holds without nesting, the more you earn.
go to Uniswap. the output token should auto-fill to $EGG. enter how much ETH you want to swap, review the price, and confirm.
this is the important part. nesting means adding liquidity to the canonical $EGG / ETH pool through this site. it's the only way to register your address as the rewards key so rot accrues to you.
click the nest in the top nav. you'll see two options:
in the “buy & nest” card:
0.1 ETH).one transaction. the zap wraps your ETH, swaps the buy portion for $EGG, pairs it as a full-range LP position, and registers your address as the rewards key. done.
if you already hold $EGG and ETH:
go to your egg. you'll see your wallet balance (rotting), your nest positions, and your share of the pool. each nest card shows liquidity, token amounts, and the nest id.
on the your egg page, scroll to “manage · collect & withdraw”. the collect button lets you claim earned rot rewards (swap fees + rebase) without removing your LP. your nest stays active.
if you want out: use the withdraw section to remove part or all of your LP. you'll receive $EGG + WETH back. the $EGG returned to your wallet will start rotting immediately — nest again or swap to ETH.
nest early. the rot from every non-nesting wallet is distributed pro-rata to all LPs. early = fewer LPs = larger share.
full-range is simplest. full-range positions never go out of range. you earn on every swap and every rebase. no rebalancing needed.
don't hold loose $EGG. if you're not going to nest it or sell it, it's vanishing. 30 days of holding costs you ~45% of your balance.
compound if you want. collect rewards periodically and re-nest them. manual compound. the rot you earn is $EGG sitting in your wallet — it rots too until you put it back.
gas matters at small sizes. nesting + collecting costs gas. at very small positions the gas may eat into your rewards. size accordingly.
put eggs in the nest. they will hatch.
