ZERO → NESTED

how to.

everything you need to go from nothing to earning rot rewards. no prior crypto experience required.

part 1 — before you start

1

get a wallet

install MetaMask (browser extension) or Rainbow (mobile). either works. write down the 12-word seed phrase and keep it offline.

importantnever share your seed phrase. no one from $EGG will ever ask for it.
2

fund with ETH

you need ETH on Ethereum mainnet. buy from an exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance) and withdraw to your wallet address. keep enough for gas — 0.01 ETH is plenty for a few transactions.

3

connect to the henhouse

click “connect wallet” in the top-right corner of this site. select your wallet. make sure you're on Ethereum mainnet — the site will prompt you to switch if you're not.

part 2 — understand the egg

4

rot is the point

every $EGG in every wallet decays at 2% per day. this is continuous, per-block. if you hold 1,000 $EGG and do nothing:

after 1 day980 $EGGafter 7 days868 $EGGafter 30 days545 $EGGafter 1 year≈ 0.6 $EGG

the rotted $EGG doesn't burn. it flows to the nest — the canonical liquidity pool — and gets paid out to LPs.

5

the nest stops the rot

$EGG inside an LP position (a “nest”) does not rot. instead, your nest earns the rot from every wallet that isn't nesting. the longer everyone else holds without nesting, the more you earn.

tldrhold = rot. nest = earn. there is no third option.

part 3 — buy $EGG

6

swap ETH → $EGG on uniswap

go to Uniswap. the output token should auto-fill to $EGG. enter how much ETH you want to swap, review the price, and confirm.

tipslippage of 1–2% is fine. the pool has deep liquidity via the full-range LP.

part 4 — nest your eggs

this is the important part. nesting means adding liquidity to the canonical $EGG / ETH pool through this site. it's the only way to register your address as the rewards key so rot accrues to you.

7

go to the nest

click the nest in the top nav. you'll see two options:

OPTION A · BUY & NEST (RECOMMENDED)commit ETH → the zap buys $EGG + pairs as LP in one transaction. easiest path. no prior $EGG balance needed.
OPTION B · PAIR MANUALLYif you already hold $EGG + ETH, use the 3-step manual flow: wrap ETH → approve tokens → mint position.
8

buy & nest (one click)

in the “buy & nest” card:

  1. enter the ETH amount you want to commit (e.g. 0.1 ETH).
  2. adjust the split slider — this controls how much of your ETH goes to buying $EGG vs pairing as WETH in the LP. 50/50 is the default.
  3. review the preview: expected $EGG out, price impact, min received after slippage.
  4. click “buy & nest →” and confirm in your wallet.

one transaction. the zap wraps your ETH, swaps the buy portion for $EGG, pairs it as a full-range LP position, and registers your address as the rewards key. done.

9

pair manually (3 steps)

if you already hold $EGG and ETH:

  1. wrap — converts your ETH to WETH (the pool uses WETH internally).
  2. approve — grants the position manager permission to spend your $EGG and WETH via Permit2. up to 4 signatures depending on existing approvals.
  3. mint — creates the LP position on-chain. your address is encoded as the rewards key.
why not uniswap's LP UI?positions opened through uniswap's interface use the position manager as the rewards key — not your address. rot rewards flow to the position manager and are stranded forever. only nest through this site.

part 5 — manage your nest

10

check your position

go to your egg. you'll see your wallet balance (rotting), your nest positions, and your share of the pool. each nest card shows liquidity, token amounts, and the nest id.

11

collect rewards

on the your egg page, scroll to “manage · collect & withdraw”. the collect button lets you claim earned rot rewards (swap fees + rebase) without removing your LP. your nest stays active.

12

remove liquidity

if you want out: use the withdraw section to remove part or all of your LP. you'll receive $EGG + WETH back. the $EGG returned to your wallet will start rotting immediately — nest again or swap to ETH.

rememberonce $EGG is in your wallet, the 2% daily rot resumes. either nest it again, sell it, or accept the decay.

part 6 — strategy notes

nest early. the rot from every non-nesting wallet is distributed pro-rata to all LPs. early = fewer LPs = larger share.

full-range is simplest. full-range positions never go out of range. you earn on every swap and every rebase. no rebalancing needed.

don't hold loose $EGG. if you're not going to nest it or sell it, it's vanishing. 30 days of holding costs you ~45% of your balance.

compound if you want. collect rewards periodically and re-nest them. manual compound. the rot you earn is $EGG sitting in your wallet — it rots too until you put it back.

gas matters at small sizes. nesting + collecting costs gas. at very small positions the gas may eat into your rewards. size accordingly.
